Three.five

That’s right, Levi is 3.5 years old. I’m amazed at the way he has changed and grown since August when he turned three. He is such a big boy. Many new interest and skills.

Dressing himself: One of Levi’s newest interest is dressing himself. For the most part, he can dress himself fully. He likes to change his clothes several times a day! His white undershirts are his favorite shirt. And just like his daddy, he likes to change into this “comfy” or “lounge” shorts when we get back home. DSC09930

Personality and Humor: even as a baby Levi was such a ham. As he gets older, his humor and witty continue to keep us on our toes. He has us laughing so hard at times, even when we probably shouldn’t be…but the things he comes up with, the looks, the body language are just too much for us not to a laugh. He is quick-witted!  Levi is social, compassionate, servant-hearted, an encourager and thoughtful.

FULLY POTTY TRAINED!- I’m so proud of Levi for this accomplishment. This one makes me beam!  By fully, I mean, dry at night, poops and pees in the potty without accidents! Hallelujah! It took us a little over a year (Round 1 & Round 2), but we made it! There is so much I can share from this experience, but here’s 2 nuggets of wisdom for you : 1-Do what is needed/right for YOUR child. 2-Be open and flexible with time frames and agendas (basically, toss them! you’ll be happier and your child will thieve). I’m so proud of my buddy. He worked so hard and has such a since of pride now too.

All about numbers: likes counting to 13, recognizing numbers wherever we are and holding up his fingers to represent numbers. The past week, he has started to ask us the time…like every 5 minutes. So, now we are learning how to tell time. This is how Levi shows #2 with his fingers. DSC09974
Collections and Piles: Levi still loves to collect, gather, pile, tote, and then sort all types of objects. It’s funny, I just find these little DSC09968piles around the house in the most random spots. At times the items  in the pile make since—same color or type of object. Other times, there is no connection between the objects just items of convenience. For example, Levi found a box in the garage today, asked Ryan to cut the top flaps off. Then, Levi carried it around the house collect miscellaneous items. The “load” was then dumped in a pile under the coffee table. The pile contained a sock, a shoe, a car, a tree, farm animals hello-kitty and a shirt.

New favorites: are puzzles, riding his bike, playing computer games (Reading games), baking play-doh cookies, doing yard work (rakingDSC09892 and sweeping) and playing in house and sandbox in the back yard.

Sports and Activities: Levi likes kicking the soccer ball, throwing the football and running really fast….which is sooo cute. Ryan’s been teaching him s ome basic soccer skills, mainly no hands! They also practice shooting goals and passing the ball.  Levi also loves going to Bounce’n Bear (inflatables) to jump with his buddies and sister. School is still a top favorite place. He loves his teachers and friends. He always has something to talk about when I pick him up. I’m so thankful that he get to attend pre-school. He is experiencing so IMG_1375 much there, plus he really LOVES it there. I love seeing grow and learn!

Favorite food/meals: French toast, tots, mac & cheese with hot dog mixed in, chicken nuggets, deli meat, cheese, fruit, yogurt, sweet potato fries, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal, peas and carrots are back in.

Favorite book: Clifford books and anything dealing with construction, trucks, monster trucks, garbage truck, fire engines etc.

Favorite DVD:  Any of our Mighty Machines DVD, Curious George, Clifford, Walli and Cars
