On Tuesday, we took Levi to his first movie—ToyStory 3. We opted to see the 2D version over 3D. Since it was Levi’s 1st movie experience, we wanted to make sure it was a positive one. Not knowing how he would respond to a 3D movie, we settled for the 2D viewing.
We selected a mid-morning showing…and it was packed! Thankfully, we arrived early enough to get good seats. Levi was excited. He asked a lot of questions and enjoyed watching everyone come and go in the theater before the movie.
Once the lights went dim, which Levi informed us of, he was focused. As the previews played…which they played FOREVER…He was quick to discover that the previews/movie were coming from the projection room up behind us. One smart boy, I’m telling you. As the previews CONTINUED to play on and on and on, he got the squirms. He jumped into my lap, where he sat for most the movie. Then, he popped over to Daddy’s lap and eventually ended up standing for the last few minutes of it.
Levi seemed to really enjoy the movie. He was quiet through most of it. Some of which I contribute to him being tired (it was nap time), but mostly because he was just taking it all in. I was really impressed at how still and focused he was throughout the movie. We weren’t sure if he would make it through it or not, but he did!
All in all, it was a great movie and family outing. As we walked to the car, Levi talked about a few of the scenes in the movie. But as we started to drive home, it wasn’t long before he was…
