A New Place, A New Season

WE MADE IT!! Where you might be asking...Houston, well, Spring if you want to be exact. Last Friday we said good bye to all our amazing friends and Waco, the city that we've called home for the past 9.5 years. I can't believe its been one week since our big trek. We're doing great--Feeling more and more settled everyday. There is still a lot of unpacking to take place... but in due time.

The past week was a busy one. We had an amazing cleaning/loading the truck party on last Thursday. (I think I used every muscle in my body!) We're so thankful for all our faithful friends that showed up in the freezing weather to help us out. It was fun having one last big evening together! The house was spotless and all our belongs were boxed up the truck and there's no way we could have done all of that without you (you know who you are :-) )

On Friday, Ryan's folks met us in Waco for the big drive. They were so so kind to drive to Houston with us and help us unload and to get settled. The drive went very well. Levi was a trooper...it was his longest car ride yet. He slept most the way and then had lunch in his car seat as we kept driving.

The three of us ended up with colds on arrival. Levi had fever...which was a sign of an ear infection. Thankful Ryan's folks spent Saturday with us helping us get the essentials set up.....There is no way we could have done this without them. We are so so grateful.

Our little rental place is perfect and such a gift. We love our little house, neighborhood and the 2 communities we are so perfectly sandwiched between.We've taken several trips out to explore and play in our new surroundings. Its all so exciting! We're hoping to try a church down the street this Sunday and start meeting some folks.

Levi has done so well with the transition, even with being sick the first 3 days. He has slept like a champ and been happily exploring his new space. Levi enjoys the backyard and playing in all the kitchen cabinets (somethings never change). There's a park across the street which we've made a part of our daily routine. He loves the BIG slide.

So, again, we just want to say THANK YOU to everyone who helped make our move a success! We have been overwhelmed by your kindness and your willingness to serve. We've been blessed beyond measures! We've have felt so loved by all of you!! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!
