One last hurrah of the day...

We took to playing outside like we do every night after dinner. Its our one last hurrah before baths and bedtime. Its our family time. Its our free time. I think its safe to say it's one of our favorite times of the day.

Each evening turns up different. Sometimes it's soccer on the front lawn, a walk down the street or a wagon ride. Bike rides, playing chase, and hauling dirt in trucks are nightly favorites too.

Tonight, the kids worked hard moving rocks and hauling dirt around the front plant bed (it's sort of plant-less). They were focused and content. I loved watching them play, laugh and working together...pure bliss. Levi dug a rock quarry. Shelby hauled rocks to him. They made piles. There might have been a few hand full of dirt & rocks thrown by both parties, but for the most part, they both were...happy...sweaty...dirty. Spontaneous hugging. Belly laughing. Squeals. Happiness. All ingredients in our family time tonight!
