This little sweet thing is 2 months old (May 3rd). It’s amazing how fast they grow, change and discover new things. Shelby has had a huge growth spurt over the past month. She weighs 12lbs (75%) and is 24” long (95%). A healthy and tall little girl.
She’s a great little sleeper. She takes 3 to 4 naps during the day, with her longest nap around noon. Her bedtime is around 7:00 or 7:30. She sleeps 6 to 7 hours before waking to feed. Then again around 530/6. Thankfully, she’ll go right back to sleep until waking up at 8am.
One of my favorite times with her is when she’s waking up from a deep nap or in the morning. Once I unswaddle her, she spends about 5 minutes stretching and trying to wake up. Then a
As you can tell from her growth spurt and status Shelby loves to eat. She’s nursing every 3 to 4 hours during the day. She takes anywhere from 4-6 oz a feeding.
Some of Shelby's favorites are being held, rocked and talked too. She enjoys bath times and our daily family walks. She has discovered her fist, which she sucks on to let me know she’s hungry. Shelby is smiling, tracking and talking (moving her lips/mouth trying to make sounds. Every once in a while a few little ohs and coos slip out). Shelby really lights up and gets excited when Levi is chatting with her. She kicks and waves her arms around in delight. I love watching them interact with one another.
Levi is also very proud of his little sister. When we’re out and about he’s very quick to show off his little sister to anyone who is willing to look. He points and says, “baby sister” as he grins from ear to ear. So sweet.
