1 Month Old

I can’t believe it. Shelby is 1 month old. This little one has stolen my heart. Her big blue eyes, her little squeaky noises, her feisty little attitude, her spiky hair and her plump lips…just to name a few…melt my heart. She loves to cuddle, be held, rocked and swaddled.

Shelby enjoys eating. She eats every 3 to 3.5 hours. However, in the past few days she has stretched some of those feedings to 4 hours.

Sleeping is one of her favorite past times. She takes 1 morning nap, a long nap at lunch time and a final nap around 4:30. She’s usually in bed for the night around 6:45 or 7:00. Her favorite places to sleep are in her bouncer, the car seat when we’re out and about and anyone’s arms…but she sleeps most the time in her crib. Right now, she’s a light sleeper, which can be a bit of a challenge with a 2.5 year old running around. Shelby is also a very noisy sleeper. She squeaks ALOT. Plus, she boxes the air with her arms/fist when you lay her down.

This sweet little girl has melted our hearts. We’re crazy about her! So crazy that we find ourselves calling her Shelbygirl, ShelbyKat, Little Lamb, and Lamb Chop. Nothing wrong with a few names of endearment, right! We’re enjoying bonding with her and are so thankful she’s apart of our little family!
