We took a trip to the zoo last week. It was our first in over 2 months. Levi was experiencing the Zoo on a whole different level this time. He enjoyed running around checking everything out. He was also more engaged with the animals than ever before. We spent most our time watching the Lions. They're so amazing and beautiful! If you get there right at 9 when the zoo opens, you can usually catch the Lion's being released into their outdoor habitat. They usually run around, wrestle with each other and do a lot of roaring--So exciting to watch!
Last week, we arrived after the Lions had already been released. We found both the male and female lion basking in the morning sun! The female lion got a little feisty with us....at first I thought she was playing, but her look clearly state otherwise....Let's just say, I'm thankful for the glass wall that separates us from them.

GIRL! how you managed to stay so calm when that lion jumped at you is quite impressive. way to keep your cool with your little man. i think i might've just screamed like a little girl ;)
