On Thursday, Levi’s class took a field trip to Oil Ranch, which is a large farm/ranch. It’s located in Hockley, which is about 40 minutes west of us. There is so much to do there!
This was Levi’s very 1st field trip, which we also turned into a family outing. Ryan was off from work so we were all able to go! We had so much fun!! Levi was excited and loved spending time with all his little school buddies. Plus, the farm had some many new experiences for him.
Some of Levi’s first:
Rode a horse-The horse ride was really short; probably lasted all of 1.5/ 2 minutes tops. No kidding! I will say the wranglers knew how to move the line. Levi was on the horse and gone before he had time to process what was happening. He seemed to enjoy it, but I could tell he wasn’t too sure what to think.
Milked a Cow-Levi jumped right up there. He watched the lady as she explained how to milk the cow. Then he tried it. He had the biggest grin on his face when he was done.
Shelby and her Daddy watching Levi milk the cow!
Drove a tractor-Levi found a tractor to drive! He jumped up there, put his feet on the peddles, grabbed the wheel and clutch like he been doing this for years.
a cheesy picture of us, but at least I made it in a one for a change.
What is a trip to the farm without a hayride and feeding the cows!
Levi and his good friends Thomas and Elizabeth (they’re twins). All three of them are the best of friends. Levi just chunked a small pumpkin like a baseball-hence the grin on the boys face.
After lunch with Levi’s class, we took a train ride. Shelby’s 1st train ride!
Before we left, we stopped by the pumpkin patch pile and the kids picked out their own pumpkins. Here’s our youngest little pumpkin.
Here are my very tired pumpkins.
They were asleep within 5 minutes of our drive home. I think Shelby was out in 3 minutes. So tried from so much fun! They both did so great. The fall weather was wonderful. The family time was really fun and watching Levi interact with his classmates and teachers made my heart happy. He is such a big boy! All in all a great day!
