Make a Smilebox postcard

One of Levi's favorite activities is playing outside. He's always enjoyed outside, which I'm very thankful for since I'm an outside person myself. Usually, after breakfast, we head out to make the most of if before the temperature hits 100+. One of Levi's favorite things to do outside is to push his little truck around. He is so focused, determined and content. He steers his truck down the driveway and up the road (with mom very close by, no worries!). When its time to turn around or come in our little man becomes passoinate. Usually, as soon as I return him to the drive way, he turns his truck around and is gone again....Here's a little video of our Levi's drive this morning. It was a bit windy, so I apologize for all the extra noise.

Going, going, gone...

Our Big Boy! We turned Levi's car seat around yesterday. We could have turned it around at 9 months because he weighted enough, but we kept it rear facing until now (its a bit safer that way). But he has outgrown the rear facing position (his feet were propped up on the back seat). So, here he is for the 1st time facing front! He loved it. He was taking everything in, looking around and just laughing. He seems to enjoy watching mommy drive and the new view.

HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY LEVI

Today is my son's 1st birthday! I can't believe that one year ago today we were in the hospital awaiting his arrival. I remember feeling excited, tired, anxious, scared...that my life was getting ready to change forever! After a long 8 hours of non progressive labor we found ourselves being wheeled off to surgery. In those final moments I remember being consumed by joy and wonder; knowing that any moment we would be meeting our son, Levi Robert Ross.

This 1st year has been amazing. We've been blown away by all that we've experienced and learned. The joy, the love, the laughter, the tears....the blessing! There have been numerous of times Ryan and I have been sitting and looking at Levi in amazement! We would find ourselves in tears because of the deep love we feel for him, for the privilege we have been giving to care for this little boy. We feel so honored to be parents and friends of a special little boy. It truly is a miraculous gift! So, here's to new life,to Levi... A boy of passion, of joy, of peace. We love you!

This time last year....

This was me one year ago today, just before checking into the hospital. I was a happy 41 weeks. Little Levi was as snug as a bug. Hard to believe that tomorrow our little man turns one. This year has flown by. I can't not believe all that I've learned and experienced. We are so thankful for our son, his life and the opportunity to be parents. He brings us great joy and has allowed us to experience love on another whole level. Happy Birthday Levi! We love you.
